In Game, Art, and design (GAD), we learned about the history of games, the history of technology used to produce video games, game ratings, game theory, how to prepare documents necessary to enter the game industry, and game design elements. We even designed a working board game. To do this, we used several types of software: We used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create game sketches, pieces, boards, characters, and other art. We also used Microsoft Office programs. We used Microsoft Word to make game drafts, rules, and design documents. We used Microsoft PowerPoint to prototype and even make games. In addition to that, we used GameMaker to make our 2D video games, such as 'Don't Hit the Bomb', 'The Maze', and 'The Platformer'. We used Unity to to make our 3D games using C# coding. As the course progressed, we learned that games have been around for a long time. Game types have been changing due to the technology innovations and the society.
